What's the big stinkin' deal about finding rocks!?  I don't know, but they sure bring lots of smiles!!

Winter snow with Dad

So over the winter snow break, Julie learned how to arm pit fart!  She and her Dad both were very proud!!

Eye tricks and dancing

Julie was super happy when she learned to wink each eye.  She also learned the Macarena dance at the school's annual Jingle Jam!

School clinic

Julie visits the school clinic frequently!

She has been since home with lice, head injury information because she hit her head on the playground, and is always complaining to Ms Varmecky that her stomach hurts.  Ms. Varmecky even emailed us to see if there was really something wrong with her.  There was one time that Julie visited the clinic three days in a row...I challenged her not to go to the clinic the next day of school.

She came home from school and the first thing that she said to me was that she didn't got to the clinic that day!  YAY!

Baby album

Mom was working to replace Julie's broken baby photo album with a new album.  She was helping where she could and then asked me how babies get out of the body...and bent her knees, then pointed down there with a big question mark on her face!!

Free flowers

We were helping Mary Catherine move some things out of her house...  Julie picks up several dandelions and asks me if we could plant some of them in my flower garden.  I said "No honey, they are weeds."  She says back to me, "No Mom, they are wishes!"

The beach!

We were having a blast on our annual beach vacation at Nags Head!

Julie points as she looks down the beach and says "Look, there are two big spiders!"  --Julie had never seen a real crab!

Mama is on top of it!

So, that is what I thought!  Rob had an early morning rehearsal, so I was responsible for getting both kids up and out the door on time!  Everything was going great...I even packed lunches!

That afternoon, I was out cutting the grass on the riding lawn mower when Jesse came out to ask me, "Mom, why did you put a knife in Julie's lunchbox?"  Being that I was sure that is not what he said...it got me to thinking!

I am not winning Mom of the Year award...I sent the pairing knife to school in Julie's lunchbox that I used to cut up our strawberries!

Spring Break 2015

So spring break for kids aren't so crazy, or are they!!?

I asked Julie what the craziest thing she did over spring break...  it was then that we decided to eat a piece of dog food together!!

Hands full

Julie and I were talking one afternoon and she told me that she wants four children.  I commented, "you will certainly have your hands full!"  She then said, "I am not going to carry them!"

Gosh, I love it!  This age, they are so literal!

Nuckols Farm Running Club

So, today was the first day of running club. Julie asked what Ms. Swanson would be doing while she was running. I told her that Ms. Swanson was not going to be there, that Ms. Sweeney would be there. Julie bummed, and responds with "Awww, she makes us tired!"

After 6 to 7 laps of running/walking Julie tells me that she doesn't want to do running club anymore! :)

Kindergarten, here she comes!!

I will never forget the smile on her face and response when we asked how the first day of Kindergarten was!! She said "It was AWESOME!"

After just one week in school, I heard two new words in her vocabulary. She used the words "personal space" and said that something was "complicated".

And after two weeks of school, she knows her phone number and how to tie her shoes!! Definitely off to a great start!

The only thing that she doesn't like...is the fire drills! Poor girl was crying for at least 30 minutes before bed because there was going to be a fire drill the next day! That afternoon, she said that the fire drill was fine...like it was nothing! :)

Punch buggies everywhere!

So, it's on!

There's a punch buggy in our neighborhood that I had to call "off limits" because the kids would stare at the house as we drove by it, just so they could hit someone!

These kids see a VW bug everywhere we go!!

Daddy even made up a new game... Whenever you see a Mini Cooper, you have to say "Mini Cooper Pooper" and you get to pinch someone!! They see Mini Cooopers everywhere too!!

Some time at home...without brother Jesse

Jesse went to visit the farm for a few days. Julie was upset that he was leaving and didn't want him to go. She got to talk to him on the phone...and immediately said that she missed him!!

Literally...

So, Julie and I were sitting at the kitchen table talking. I said something about "pulling her leg" and she took a look under the table to see if I was actually going to pull her leg! I love, love, love this kind of thing!

Julie asked me to help her buy a house....because she didn't know where the house store was!

Kings Dominion fun

We got passes to KD for the summer and had a blast! Went to the top of the Eiffel Tower...Julie said that she saw Gaga's house from up there! Little lady cried her way through her first roller coaster...the old Scooby Doo. But after that, she said she wanted to do it again! Awesome!

Julie asked why birds do this (then flapped her arms in the motion of flapping wings)?

She also saw some geese flying in a "V" shape and asked...why they didn't start with "A"?

So, I try to be good and recycle when I can. Well, I totally got busted this time... I put lots of Julie and Jesse's papers in a bag because we just can't keep it all. Check out this face...
